Charity poker turnier europa park. Books have been written on this topic, and the debates and feuds about where the 'hot' slot games are installed in the casino are still taking place - more than 60 yrs after slot machines were 1st placed in the casinos.
Starting on June 13th, the World Poker Tour became the title sponsor of an eBay auction to benefit the Sharon Osbourne Colon Cancer Program at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. The auction, which will conclude on June 20th, not only will benefit this charitable group but also has some very interesting memorabilia on the auction block.
The World Poker Tour is putting a seat for the 2007 WPT Invitational at the Commerce Casino in Los Angeles up to the highest bidder. In most cases getting into the tournament is by invite only but the price tag to buy in (if there was one) is valued at $25,000. The tournament is normally one of the most star-studded of the year, as the professional poker world turns out with the brightest stars of sports, movies, television and music for what many players remark is the most relaxed tournament of the WPT season.
One of the other items that some lucky bidder could walk away with could draw more attention than the WPT Invitational seat, however. Highly acclaimed artist Michael Godard and custom motorcycle builder Count's Kustoms have teamed up to create a one of a kind chopper that someone will definitely like to own. The motorcycle is very much an 'old style' chopper with its 18' ape hanger handle bars, hand tooled leather saddle, titanium wheels and engine accents. Topping it off is the artwork of Godard, creating a vehicle that will be priceless in its own right.
'We built an extremely cool chopper for this auction,' stated Danny 'The Count' Koker of Count's Kustoms. 'Whoever walks away with this bike is going to be thrilled, because it's a rock star machine. More importantly, though, they're helping a deserving cause,' concluded Danny. 'It is not every day that we get to be part of such an innovative initiative. It's a wonderful example how we artists can support our community in a unique way, because it's all about what you give to this world, not what you take' said Michael Godard.
In addition to these items, there are two guitars available for bids as well. Black Label Society (and former Ozzy Osbourne guitarist) front man Zakk Wylde and Gibson Guitars have donated a Epiphone Zakk Wylde signature Buzzsaw Les Paul Custom guitar with custom Buzzsaw graphics and a SG '61 Reissue guitar, which will receive surprise special treatments from different celebrities. All of these items are currently accepting bids until June 20th and can be viewed at godardchopper.com in what should be a fantastic way for poker to assist in raising funds for a very deserving cause.

Charity Check is a new segment from PokerNews that will feature the charitable giving in the poker industry monthly.
Phil Hellmuth always seems to be at a charity event.
Over the course of his career, he’s helped raise $44.5 million in charity poker tournaments as the emcee.
“I'm proud of the money that I've raised, and that the poker world has raised, using my beloved game of poker!” he said.
He usually emcees five to eight charity poker tournaments a year. Already in 2017, Hellmuth has attended two tournaments, raising $1.5 million with the Golden State Warriors in San Francisco for the Warriors Community Foundation and raising over $100,000 in Dallas for the Michael Finley Foundation. He’s also raised money for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for eight or nine years in a row for the kids at an event in New York City.

Hellmuth began his charitable giving in the early 1990s and said it’s his responsibility to help others that are less fortunate than he is. He also connects his charity to his results in his poker career.
“I feel good about myself when I help others and I feel like I'm a big tree that shelters many, many other people,” he said. “I have to make sure that I water that tree; it deserves to be watered. And that gives me extra motivation to win.”
Find Hellmuth at his next event, the TigerJam, May 19-20. This event has a $10,000 buy-in, and, according to Hellmuth, is for a great four-of-four rated charity and should be a fun event.
This event benefits The Tiger Woods Foundation and will be held at the MGM Grand Resort & Casino. Tiger Woods will host the event which will also feature the 19th annual Tiger Jam benefit concert, golf, and of course, poker. The money raised will benefit the foundation’s college-access programs.
